True, but thats an anomaly in the big picture, the 3870 matches the 9800GT on performance but is cheaper, same for 3650 and 9500Gt, 4670 and 9600GT, 4850 and 9800 are around the same, 4870 is cheaper than GTX260, and where I'm looking right now 4890 is as cheap as a GTX260 but as powerful as a 280.

All down to the complexity of thier memory buses and the decision no to use GDDR5 by Nvidia.

Ignore the geeks, a core2duo is better, but they are not interchangeable, the core 2 duo does normal calculations on your PC and the Nvidia does graphics calculations as its a VGA (Video graphics acceleration), but the Nv is hopelessly old so you should stick with the C2D of someone is making you pick between them.

said what first? Don't be an idiot, you sound like a twelve year old noobcalling on youtube cos his big brother just kicked him off Xbox Live.

I'm just an obsessive gamer, I love immersion, so AI, graphics and physics are VERY important to me. I did it for less than half the Alienware system, and I'm sure I'd run with it. Although I'm not certain how my Phenom II 955, @ 3.7 btw, would match up to the $900 Core i7. Regardless I'd never spend that much on a CPU, the GPU's sure, they won't need upgrading for yrs. & since they run ICE cold the OC's I get are just outrageous. I think that would be enough to run with the flagship Alienware.

i have a friend ho have 4 of them in his pc

  9. wardy92 says:

4 lol u chat shit u can only have 2

  10. iSwaggrite says:

do u guys keep the gpu's you review???

  11. CraigBass1988 says:

Could I run one of these in SLi with just a normal GTX 295? I have the money to buy this, but not two of them, so was thinking running a non WC 295 with it until I save up the money for another one of these fucking bad boys.

  13. declaration963 says:

yes of course, but all GPU frequent must same.

  14. glitchmaster99 says:

hahaha you can only have them in quad sli and theres 2gpus per card so thats 2 card dumbass

  15. goeetfuk says:

wtf did he just feel like buying 2 extra ones for fun?

  16. SNIPERjamnik says:

I need to change my Graphiccard soon so do I need to change my motherbord to use a powerful car I any body knows please reply (yes I am a noob)

Dude I haven't really posted since getting the new rig running properly. ( couldnt use ddr3 memory..can't find a goddamn AM2+ board that supports both SLI "and" DDR3, but there's plenty that support DDR3 Ram that are Crossfire, I have two of these 295's, so I had to settle for DDR2 1066, and it took about 2 days to get the Phenom II 955 Black Edition OC'd to 3.7, then I needed help OC'ing the memory to make up for the inability to run DDR3. Helped, and it's running great, couldn't be happier!

  18. HypnoticSuggestion says:

Gen0cideBeats; explain: What you're comparing the C2D to, why it's not interchangeable, because it is….And, the right way to define the CPU and GPU & (Substitute VGA for GPU). The C2D, for whoever he was saying this to, is your Cpu. It handles all of the Operating Systems functions, and all other software, it is the brain of the PC, and IS interchangeable. VGA, FAIL, GPU, (Graphics processing unit) processes graphics calculations, and sends this info via analog/digital signal to your monitor.

  19. bennerkiller says:

    no not in sli

  20. wardy92 says:

lol u still chat shit how would he run 4 even if they are or are not in sli i dont get what ur pointing out

  21. SilverCloverClips says:

5:20 "also included in the cable" how big is that cable
    o~O

  22. byunjoe says:

Quad Sli can be achieved using the GTX 295, 9800GX2, and the 7950GX2
all these cards are called SLi in one, they have 2 GPUs, so if you put two of any of these cards together that equals four GPUs=Quad SLi

i my self own a gtx 295 and it runs soo hot. not as hot as yours. but it normaly runs at 70 c. do you know of any ways to cool it down? or if i could trade it in and upgrade it to the watter cooled version? because my room is like a sawna now. thanks for any tips
    squiddly

  24. ZeroPresicion says:

lol install my fans XD or stop overclocking it so high

  25. djsumara says:

Well if you can install a sidefan blowing into the card then do it, try to cut out a square in your side window or side panel and then put a the fain in. Try putting a fan over your memory, CPU, video card and any other items you want, also try putting your PC on the floor, its cooler there most of the time.
