Yea those are pretty cool. I’ve got $360 right now so I’m going to buy an Antec 750w PSU and a Q9550 =]

    Then I’ll eventually get a 4890

  7. uberhax0r1 says:

Hey what do any of you think is better the EVGA 295 or the GALAXY? I am building by first PC in a month or so and just wondering what is someone’s preference.

  10. Jmaster4120 says:

In the specs for the card, I believe it says you need a 680W psu. They are taking into account your system has other parts to power when they give you this number. They are also taking into account that you may have a shitty psu. If you have a good brand like antec, corsair, or pc Power & Cooling, you could do it like on a 550W.

  11. GoldPatrol says:

XFX :D i EVGA is good but i love XFX they rock take it from a pc builder who got shitty budget but they are nice!!

  12. imthecrossfyrekid says:

hey bud,ive got a 295 gtx but wtf is a 290 gtx, never heard of it?because it doesnt exist?

  13. JTCPingas09 says:

I would totally get a GTX 295 if I didn’t have that generic 300w PSU

  14. stuckon250 says:

sorry typo i have a gtx280* small mistake can send you pics if you want tho :D

  15. imthecrossfyrekid says:

hey,ive got the 295 gtx,its a BFG and my good god,it overclocks like a banshee, its at 576 mhz stock core clock,1242 mhz shader clocks, and 999 mhz memory clocks.i run mine at 650 core,1450 shaders and 1150 memory with the fan at 65 or 75% .i love it!dead stable!
why is anyone interested in this card if your not willing to upgrade your psu?650 watt minimum.dont bother with less ever ,ok!!
all the 295 gtx are the same, just different stickers from different manufacturers.
    awesome card,no problem!

  16. MouthofSaurons says:

It’s spelled “Crysis”! “Crisis” is some boring game made in Iceland…

  17. souljaboizz253 says:

  18. lalulala73 says:

    900FPS WITH 8200M NO

  19. PCGamingHQ says:

I just got a Palit GTX 295 and it overclocks like mad. It does 35FPS in Crysis Very High, 1920×1080 with 4xAA!!!! It runs well with my PSU to which is OCZ 600W (Recomended 680W)!!! If you want high end gaming then you should get the GTX 295 (But wait for GTX 3xx now for DX11)!!!

  20. ChonKrispyLA says:

whats a good hd monitor worthy of this card

  21. teep128 says:

I’m running a 19 inch with 1440x 900 resolution. I am looking into buy a new video card. Does anyone know what card will be enough to run Crysis + Nat-Mod and Cod4+5 on high res on my 19 inch? Is this insane card necessary?
    Thanks.

  22. viank96 says:

    hell yeah

  23. viank96 says:

    i have a 24″ 1080p monitor

  24. DestroyTheApex says:

GTX 295 is more geared towards a 24 inch which supports 1920×1080. A GTX 275/260 core would be perfect for 19inch.
I would just wait for the 300 series coming out soon though… which will have DX11. If you plan on getting Windows 7.

  25. benjyboba says:

This card will run on 2560 x 1600 high end monitors with something like cod 4 running 70fps. I got a 8800gts 512 and doing dual monitor in horizontal desktop, (each monitor is 2048x 1536 res), i’ve run games of 4096 x 1536 which is playable on just 1 card. This baby here is all your ever need and will run the future uhd tvs which will be 1600 p (2056 x 1600). Awsome card.
